The Plan : Hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail from Eastern Washington (Pete Lake Trailhead) to Snoqualmie Pass.

The forecast was for a snow level of 3500 feet on Friday, 4500 feet Friday night,  5500-6000 on Saturday.

We left the Pete Lake Trailhead at 4pm on Friday evening (much later than we wanted to), sunset was about 6:45pm.

Pete Lake was spectacular -- we camped near the shore at an existing site, had a nice fire, and got ready for the next day's hike. There was quite a bit of snow at the higher elevations. The clouds cleared up that evening, and it was cold and frosty when we got ready to go the next morning.
